Like any other strategy, a diversity management strategy can become long, complex and convoluted. "Yet another 1 ½ inch binder on the bookshelf" is how one corporate officer described their diversity (and inclusion) strategy.
Strategy must be developed by the leaders. But, for strategy to come to life (be executed) you have to make sure all the people are engaged, informed, involved, and in agreement. The thick binder approach rarely accomplishes this goal.
There is a way to condense, compress and express the real intent of a strategy in a way that allows everyone in the organization to understand it and to see how it affects them personally. We call this Strategy Simplification.
